A crowd of people at an event with fairy lights overhead

Your comprehensive guide to the best ticketing companies to consider in 2025.

Working with the right ticketing company can have a huge impact on your events. Ticketing fees alone (including how and when these are charged) can vary massively from platform to platform, with big implications for your cash flow and profits. Then there are features to consider; what tools do you need to make sure your ticketing process is as streamlined as possible? Seating charts? Marketing integrations? Time slot ticketing? Customer support is also a key consideration – you want to know you can easily get the help you need if you or your customers encounter any issues with the platform.

There’s a lot to think about. Which is why we’ve pulled together what we think are the top 11 ticketing companies to consider using in 2025. Let’s go.

What can you do with an event ticketing platform?

An event ticketing platform helps you do so much more than gather event registrations. A great ticketing company will offer a whole range of features to help with each stage of selling tickets – from creating your event listing through to marketing your event and analysing your ticket sales data. Here are some of the features you might want to look out for when searching for the right platform:

  • The ability to customize your event listings with your own branding.
  • Website integration, so you can sell tickets directly from your own website.
  • Marketing tools and integrations – helping you to fully streamline your promotional efforts.
  • Reporting and analytics, so you can learn more about your ticket buyers, and which sales tactics are most effective, for example.
  • Reliable customer service – does the platform have a clearly signposted way of getting through to them?
  • Different ticket types – for example, group bookings, early bird tickets, and memberships.
  • Time slot ticketing – so you don’t have to create tons of individual events, but can sell different dates and time slots for one overarching event.
  • The ability to sell merchandise and add-ons at the point of ticket sale (great for boosting profits!).

This is really just scratching the surface of the variety of general ticketing platform features on offer 👆. But it should give you an idea of the kinds of things a ticketing company can help you with.

Can I use my own branding with a ticketing platform?

Lots of ticketing platforms allow you to partly or fully customize your event listings. So you can use your own logos, brand colors and images to make sure your event pages stand out and are instantly recognisable as yours.

As we mentioned above, some ticketing platforms also allow you to fully integrate your box office with your website. This means visitors to your website don’t have to leave your site to buy tickets.

How do ticketing fees usually work?

Event ticketing companies need to make money somehow (whether for profit or otherwise). They usually do this through charging a fee to use their platform. This fee can usually be paid by you or passed onto your ticket buyers. Either way, it’s important to know that event ticketing fees can vary quite drastically from platform to platform, meaning you could save hundreds or even thousands of pounds per year by switching platform, depending on the size of your events.

Event ticketing platforms tend to have different ways of charging their fees, too. Some have complicated subscription and tier models, where you pay a subscription fee, plus a percentage of your ticket sales. Others are completely free to list events on (so, no subscription fee), but charge you a percentage of ticket sales. And others (like Ticket Tailor 😌) have zero subscription fees, and simply charge a small flat fee per ticket sale rather than a percentage. This will pretty much always work out cheaper than a platform that charges a subscription fee and/or a percentage of your sales.

It’s also important to know that some ticketing platforms hold onto your earnings until after your event has passed or give weekly or monthly payouts. Others (like Ticket Tailor) never touch your money, meaning you get paid instantly with every ticket sale. While it might not seem a big deal to wait for your payout – remember, cash flow can be hindered when you don’t get access to your sales money right away.

How does payment processing work?

When you sell tickets online, you’ll need to use a payment processor to handle each transaction. Some ticketing platforms have their own in-house payment processors, but most use third party processors, like Stripe, PayPal, and Square. Payment processing fees vary between each processor, and often based on your location,  but are generally a small percentage of the transaction. In this guide, we’ve indicated which payment processors each platform supports. To find out what the exact fees for each payment processor are, simply head over to the processor’s website.

Are there any ticketing companies that care about more than profit?

Maybe you care about how your events impact people and the planet. Or perhaps you’re interested in using your events as a force for good. Either way, you’ll be pleased to learn that, yes, there are some ticketing platforms out there that genuinely care about making a difference. Here at Ticket Tailor, for example, we’ve made it our mission to balance profit with purpose. We’re a certified B Corp, which means we’re regularly assessed to make sure we meet a set of stringent environmental and social standards. One example of how we’re giving back is our Penny For The Planet initiative, which sees us give 1p per every single ticket sold through our platform to important environmental charities.

Humanitix is another ticketing platform driving positive change through events. This non-profit event registration platform donates all profits from booking fees to charities across a range of spaces, including environmental, education and accessibility 🙏.

Ticket Tailor responds to queries within a few minutes, and often adds new capabilities to its platform based on requests from its community.

As we talked about above 👆, Ticket Tailor is a certified B Corp, which means it cares about balancing profit with purpose, and is held to account on this. Great for: Small and medium sized events across any and all sectors.

TicketSource is a feature-packed ticketing platform with very reasonable pricing, and brilliant customer service. TicketSource has a fully-equipped event planner’s ‘toolbox’ packed full of useful features like mobile tickets, wireless scanning kits and a ticket-scanning app, analytics and reports, and reserved seating. DICE

Great for: Up-and-coming artists, music venues and music promoters.

DICE is a ticketing platform with a difference, focusing on hooking live music fans up with relevant gigs in their town or city. It connects to each user’s Spotify or Apple Music account, then shows them highly tailored recommendations for gigs and live events. Although its focus is mainly on music, the platform also houses comedy and cultural events. This platform is less about intricate ticketing features, and more about providing niche artists with a place for their live events to be discovered by their fans.

Standout DICE ticketing features

  • Get your events in front of highly-relevant eyes thanks to the fact DICE connects with users’ streaming platforms
  • Benefit from DICE’s slick, professional-looking event pages (although these aren’t customizable)
  • Know your events are appearing on DICE’s stylish and contemporary app, used by music fans to discover the gigs they love

DICE pricing

DICE offers custom pricing for the artists, venues and promoters that wish to be listed on the platform.

TicketSpice

Great for: Big brands, events of all shapes and sizes.

TicketSpice is a low cost ticketing company that can help a wide range of events with registration and ticketing. It’s packed full of all the usual features you’d expect from a robust event registration platform, and definitely offers some of the lowest rates around (although, we have to say, they’re not as low as ours here at Ticket Tailor!). Users love how easy to navigate TicketSpice is, and the platform also offers fast and friendly customer support.

Standout TicketSpice ticketing features

  • Create fully customizable event pages
  • Whizz through event creation with a handy drag-and-drop builder
  • Send tickets to attendees via text message (which can be scanned upon entry)
  • Get funds payouts on a weekly basis
  • Create ticketing pages that dynamically adjust based on conditions you set

TicketSpice pricing

Free events: Free events are free but only when you are also using TicketSpice to ticket paid events. If you aren't, you’ll pay a flat fee rate of $0.99 per ticket for your free events, plus payment processing fees.

Paid events: A flat fee of $0.99 per paid ticket.

Payment processing: TicketSpice has its own in-house payment processor called Webconnex Payments, which charges 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction for all credit cards.

Skiddle

Great for: Club nights, gigs, music concerts, and festivals.

Skiddle is another major player in the events ticketing industry, often used by large-scale event creators. Skiddle is a popular event discovery platform – and so can help land your event in front of a wide audience-base  (although this may not be worth it, financially, for all event creators – more on this below). It’s particularly popular among live music event organizers (and their events’ attendees). In fact, its website is built to help music lovers find concerts, club nights and gigs in their preferred genre and location. The platform is also used by many major brands around the world.

Standout Skiddle ticketing features

  • Use the Skiddle app to keep attendees up to date with alerts, and reward them with discount codes
  • Work with an account manager and business development team to scale your event or brand
  • Benefit from Skiddle’s e-flyers – which land your event in front of relevant audiences within a 20 mile radius of your event
  • Streamline your event’s entry process with Skiddle rapid scan barcode technology

Skiddle pricing

Note: Skiddle’s booking fees are automatically passed onto ticket  buyers – there’s no option to absorb these yourself.

Free events: Free events still incur a booking fee (see below).

Paid events: 10% of the ticket’s face value, plus an additional 25p, with a minimum fee of £1. (So, if your tickets cost less than £10 each, including free tickets, you’ll pay £1.25 per ticket).

Payment processing: For most events, Skiddle uses their own Merchant Account to process debit/credit card payments – so there are no extra payment processing fees to think about.

EventZilla

Great for: Large-scale corporate events and conferences, and virtual and hybrid events.

EventZilla is a slick event registration platform that is particularly well suited to conferences, training events, and online/hybrid events. It’s got a slightly more corporate feel than some of the other ticketing companies in this guide – which definitely isn’t a bad thing, especially if your events are in the sectors mentioned above. One of EventZilla’s main points of difference lies in its end-to-end solutions for hybrid events. For example, the platform allows you to create an interactive hub for your remote and in-person attendees. This makes the platform a great choice for those that regularly host events with virtual elements.

Standout EventZilla ticketing features

  • Amp up your online events with end-to-end solutions for hybrid events
  • Run automated and targeted event promotions with tons of marketing features
  • Manage RSVPs with dedicated RSVP solutions
  • Create branded event pages with a user-friendly website builder
  • Create multi-track, interactive event agendas for each event

EventZilla pricing

Free events: You can use EventZilla for free to organise free events, but you won’t get access to some of its features. If you want, you can pay $49 per month to access premium features for your free events.

Paid events: EventZilla works on a tier system. You’ll pay:

  • Basic plan – £1.50 per event registration
  • Pro plan – 2% of sales plus £1.50 per event registration
  • Plus plan – 2.9% of sales plus £1.50 per event registration
  • Custom plan – there’s also the option of speaking to EventZilla about a custom plan for your business

Payment processing: EventZilla lets you choose from a range of payment processors including Stripe, PayPal and Square.

Eventbrite

Great for: Large scale events across most sectors.

Eventbrite is one of the major players in the event ticketing space, which gives it the benefit of being very recognisable to ticket buyers. Like Skiddle, Eventbrite is a popular event discovery platform, which can help land your event in front of the relevant audiences (again, check out why this might not be ideal for your business below). Eventbrite is one of the pricier ticketing platforms out there, making it a better option for very large-scale events that can afford to absorb this cost. Many think the fees are worth it for the robustness of the platform and the features it offers, which can help with everything from event marketing to attendee communication, and analytics.

Standout Eventbrite ticketing features

  • Create fully customizable event pages
  • Get the word out about your events with built-in promotional tools
  • Get detailed analytics and reporting for each event
  • Easily interact with attendees through the Eventbrite platform
  • Manage registrations in real-time

Eventbrite pricing

Free events: Free

Paid events: 6.95% + £0.59 per sold ticket, and £0.50 per paid ticket when sold on the door.

Payment processing fees: In the UK, you’ll need to use PayPal as your payment processor when ticketing with Eventbrite.

RSVPify

Great for: Private parties, weddings, community events, and fundraisers.

RSVPify is a user-friendly event registration platform that can be used to ticket small-to-medium sized events, and as an RSVP platform (clue’s in the name 😉) for things like weddings, reunions and holiday parties. It’s packed full of plenty useful ticketing features as well as a whole host of features for event RSVP-ing – think vaccine passports, menu preferences and more. This RSVP-focus can be useful not only for private parties but for community events, fundraisers and non-profit events, too.

Standout RSVPify ticketing features

  • Collect and manage online RSVPs for your event
  • Customize your guests’ experience from start to finish
  • Gather menu and meal preferences from guests
  • Design your own customer data collection form to gather all the information you need about guests
  • Create fully customized event registration forms and flows

RSVPify Pricing

  • Free – $0
  • Gold – $6/month

Humanitix

Great for: Small and medium sized events and event creators that care about giving back.

Humanitix is a non-profit ticketing platform that was created specifically as a way to raise money for good causes. 100% of all profits from booking fees go to charity, helping to turn the world of events into a force for good. Despite not working for profit, the platform comes with all the ticketing features you’d expect from a robust ticketing company – including customizable event pages, seat maps, and reporting and analytics. So far, Humanitix has raised over £8.5m for charities in spaces such as education, healthcare, accessibility and the environment. Impressive stuff.

Standout Humanitix ticketing features:

  • Create fully customized event pages using Canva design tools (Canva is one of Humanitix’s tech partners)
  • Sell merchandise at the point of ticket sale
  • Build seat maps for tables, auditoriums, and even market stall allocations
  • Keep customers in-the-know with automated waitlists
  • Use Humanitix’s free scanning app to streamline event entry

Humanitix pricing

Free events: Free

Paid events: 2.1% + £0.99 per ticket

Payment processing: With Humanitix, you’ll need to use Stripe as your payment processor.

ThunderTix

Great for: Performing arts events.

ThunderTix is a popular ticketing platform that focuses specifically on helping those in the world of performing arts ticket their events. This ticketing company has a wide range of features that can help theaters and other reserved-seating events streamline all aspects of event management. It’s a great option for those working in the performing arts world who’d like to use a ticketing company that’s well-and-truly geared up to cater towards their unique needs.

Standout ThunderTix ticketing features

  • Give attendees a range of money-saving options and perks with season passes and flex passes
  • Attract more attendees with coupons and promo codes
  • Benefit from responsive custom designed seating charts that mimic your venue
  • Streamline event entry with barcode scanning using Android or iPhone
  • Customize all aspects of ticketing including your e-tickets, thermal tickets, and events portal

ThunderTix pricing

Free events: We can’t find information about whether or not ThunderTix is free to use for free events – we’re guessing because the vast majority of event types on this platform are paid.

Paid events: ThunderTix has three pricing tiers to choose from:

  1. General admission – $1 per ticket with a $20 monthly minimum spend
  2. Reserved seating – $1.24 per ticket with a $25 monthly minimum spend
  3. Enterprise – $1.75 per ticket with a $175 monthly minimum spend

Payment processing: ThunderTix gives you the option of using a wide range of payment processors including Stripe, Square, and Authorize.net.

TicketLeap

TicketLeap promotes itself as a “hassle-free event ticketing platform” – it’s really easy to navigate and comes with a full suite of useful ticketing features. It offers free pricing for free events and also offers lower costs for any events with a ticket price under $5 – nice touch! Marketing itself towards everything from churches to farms, haunted attractions and drive-in movie theaters, TicketLeap is a solid choice for small-to-medium sized, local events.

Standout TicketLeap ticketing features

  •  Capture vital details about your ticket buyers using custom questions at checkout.
  • Save time by cloning past events.
  • Drive traffic from your website to your ticket page with customizable “Buy Tickets” buttons.
  • Grab the attention of potential ticket buyers with integrated videos and photos in your event description.

TicketLeap pricing

Paid events: $1 + 2% of the ticket price per sold ticket.

Payment processing: You’ll pay a 3% processing fee on each transaction.

Which ticketing platform should I choose?

There are so many great ticketing platforms out there – but not all are right for every event. Some will be better suited to events in certain sectors or of a certain size, for example. Which you choose will depend on your specific needs and budget. Some key things to think about when choosing a platform include:

  • Tools and features: Does the platform have the tools and capabilities you need?
  • Compatibility: Does the platform integrate with the marketing tools you currently use?
  • Customer service: Does the platform have good reviews for customer service?
  • Pricing: Is the platform’s pricing compatible with your budget?
  • Giving back: Does the platform align with your principles?
  • Event discovery: Do you want users to be able to discover your events through your ticketing platform? (Hint: this might not make as much financial sense as you think; less than 2% of event creators said discovery was an important channel for them to sell tickets. Read more about it in our article.)
